Motorola Edge Plus 2022, Model number: XT2201, was released in the U.S on March 24, 2022. The Motorola Edge Plus 2022 is the second iteration of the Edge Plus line following the original model in 2020. Distinct features include a high-performance Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, a 144Hz OLED display, and a camera system with a 50MP main sensor. The Motorola Edge Plus 2022 stopped receiving support software updates as of February 2025 and runs on Android 12.

Identification
You can identify the Motorola Edge Plus 2022 by the Motorola logo located on the backside of the phone. As opposed to the 2021 and 2023 models, the camera assembly border has rounded edges and the flashlight is located in the upper right hand corner. The sim card being inserted at the bottom of the phone is a feature specific to the Motorola Edge series. This device only comes in cosmos blue and stardust white.
