Cyril J. Mockridge

Cyril John Mockridge (6 de agosto de 1896 – 18 de janeiro de 1979) foi um compositor britânico para cinema e televisão. Recebeu treinamento profissional na Royal Academy of Music, em Londres. No início da década de 1930, Mockridge foi para Hollywood, onde compôs e arranjou músicas para mais de cem filmes, incluindo Cheaper by the Dozen, River of No Return e The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.

Ele foi indicado ao Oscar pelo filme Guys and Dolls de 1955, com Jay Blackton.^[1]

Mockridge passou anos como compositor da equipe da Twentieth Century-Fox, trabalhando frequentemente com Alfred Newman e o irmão de Alfred, Lionel. Ele se aposentou no Havaí, onde morreu em 1979 e está enterrado no Forest Lawn Memorial Park em Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles.^[2]
