Valentino Khan (Los Angeles, 15 de fevereiro de 1987) é um DJ e produtor musical norte-americano.[1][2][3] O seu single Deep Down Low alcançou o primeiro lugar nas tabelas, enquanto Make Some Noise chegou à 50ª posição na Billboard Twitter Emerging Artists.[1][2][3]

Carreira

2012: Início

Khan iniciou sua carreira como produtor de hip-hop, criando faixas para artistas como T.I., 2 Chainz e B.o.B.[4][5]. Em 2012, teve alguns de seus remixes lançados oficialmente, sendo o mais notável o da faixa "Holler", do duo Gent & Jawns, lançado pela gravadora Mad Decent, de Diplo.

Colaborou com Will Bailey na música "Rukus" e produziu o single "Play Keeps" de B.o.B., incluído no álbum Strange Clouds.[6]. Em 2013, coproduziu o single "Bubble Butt" de Major Lazer.[7][8]

2013: Homenagem

Em 5 de junho de 2013, Khan lançou a faixa "Fahrenheit" gratuitamente, como homenagem à sua formação na música eletrônica.

2014: "In Khan We Trust"

Em 22 de julho de 2014, lançou seu primeiro EP, intitulado In Khan We Trust, pela gravadora OWSLA, de Skrillex. O trabalho inclui o single "Make Some Noise".[9][10][11][12][13]

2015: "Deep Down Low"

Em 20 de abril de 2015, Khan colaborou com Flosstradamus no lançamento do single "MFU".[14][15] Em 11 de agosto do mesmo ano, lançou "Deep Down Low" foi lançado como single.[16][17][18][19] A faixa foi incluída no álbum Spring Compilation da OWSLA e foi descrita como pioneira em seu gênero, sendo considerada a "canção mais popular entre DJs" em 2015. Também integrou a compilação da Tomorrowland intitulado The Secret Kingdom Of Melodia. Musicalmente, incorpora elementos de big room house e jungle terror, sendo frequentemente classificada como hard house.[20] A música ganhou um videoclipe oficial, além de uma versão remixada.[21][22][23][24]

2016: "Slam Dunk"

Em 29 de julho de 2016, Khan colaborou com Skrillex no lançamento da faixa "Slam Dunk", com vocais de Kstylis[25][26][27][28][29]. Em entrevistas, citou Rihanna e Sia como suas artistas femininas favoritas para colaborações.[30] Ainda em 2016, trabalhou com Wiwek na música "Tropicana".[31][32]

2017: "Bullseye" e "Pump"

Em 7 de abril de 2017, Khan colaborou com Anna Lunoe e Wuki no single "Bullseye", lançado pela gravadora OWSLA. de Skrillex. [33][34][35][36] Em 26 de maio do mesmo ano, lançou "Pump" como single pelas gravadoras Mad Decent e Ministry of Sound[37][38][39][40]. A faixa acumulou mais de 16 milhões de reproduções no Spotify e tornou-se, na época, o vídeo mais assistido da Vevo do seu tempo.[41][42][43]
