Introdução

The Milwaukee M12 2488-20 soldering iron can stop heating even though the green light turns on to show that it has started to heat, but it never turns red to show that it is hot. To fix this, if the fuse is found to be the fault, it needs to be replaced. You can use this guide to see how to change the fuse. The fuse that comes in the soldering iron is a fuse rated for 152 degrees Celsius.

    • Remove the thermal cover to expose the bottom thermal cover.

    • Push down the thermal cover that is covering the fuse.

    • If there isn't enough space to push down the thermal cover to expose the fuse, then locate the zip tie and the thermal cover and push them down into the compartment. This will provide more space to pull down the thermal cover where the fuse rests.

    • Cut the fuse and leave enough wire to be able to solder the new fuse.
