Hello, I am Ramses Ramirez and I'm currently a senior at the University of Memphis majoring in electrical engineering.

I decided to study electrical engineering because I wanted to work with robots as growing up, I saw Boston Dynamics' progression in their humanoid and SPOT robots and wanted to work in that field. Although I have more experience working with FPGAs, I hope to get more experience with control systems so that I can move into the robotics field.

Skills:

I've experience using programming languages such as python, C++, VHDL, and Verilog.

I also use software such as PSpice, Quanser's QLabs, and Quartus to complete projects for my classes.

Projects:

For my classes, I have used a DE10-Lite FPGA for some class projects. Those included creating a 4-bit ALU, finding propagation delays in flip flops through the use of an oscilloscope, and creating a 4-bit adder/ subtractor

I am currently working on a project to create a cushion that can detect weight imbalance to determine posture and correct it through an audible sound.

Repair Experience:

I don't have much experience repairing things. In the past I have replaced the joystick for a console controller and did help replace the boiler in my house. I have also replaced the heat sink of my laptop. I also built my computer instead of buying a prebuilt to make it to my liking.

Purpose:

My main goal for this project is to gain more experience working with my hands doing physical things, since for the most part of my undergraduate degree, I have mostly worked with simulations. Even if it not directly related to the field that I want to work with, any hands-on experience will be beneficial.

I have 2 cats Garfield, the tabby, and misha the calico cat.
