The Dell Latitude 5420 laptop is part of the Latitude series from Dell. The 5420 model was released in 2021, weighs 3.03 lbs, and is approximately 12.7 x 8.4 x .8 inches.

For additional identification information, search for your model description on the Laptop Identification Tag, located on the underside of your computer.

This laptop is not very difficult to repair. Once the back panel os removed, the laptop components are easily accessible. These include 2 SO-DIMM DDR4 memory slots, one M.2 NVMe SSD slot and on M.2 accessory (WiFi, etc.) slot (looks to be B keyed).

One downside to repairability is that the CPU is soldered directly to the motherboard. This means neither the CPU nor the motherboard can be replaced without replacing the other.

The Dell Latitude 5420 has "Latitude 5420" etched on the bottom cover of the laptop. Flip your laptop over and check for this engraving at the center of the bottom cover.
