The Bose QuietComfort 15 were released in 2009 by Bose Corporation and quickly became one of the most popular noise-canceling headphones on the market. While on the market from 2009-2014 they were designed for travelers, students, and professionals who wanted to block out background noise while flying, studying, or working. Although the QC15 was discontinued after newer models were released, many people still use them today because of their comfort and strong noise cancellation.

There have been no major recalls of the QuietComfort 15, and most reported issues have been minor and related to normal wear and tear rather than manufacturing defects. Common concerns include ear cushions that crack or peel after extended use and occasional power switch inconsistencies over time. Because the headphones rely on a AAA battery for noise cancellation, some performance problems are simply due to a drained battery rather than a hardware issue. The Bose QuietComfort 15 headphones are over-ear headphones with a simple, sleek design. The headband is adjustable and also padded underneath, making them comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The QC15 uses a detachable audio cable that connects to the left ear cup.
