Thunder and Lightning é o décimo segundo e último álbum de estúdio da banda de hard rock irlandesa Thin Lizzy, lançado em 1983.[4] Contrataram o guitarrista John Sykes para substituir Snowy White depois do álbum de 1981 Renegade, e Sykes trouxe um som mais pesado do que o mostrado anteriormente. Ainda assim, a grande maioria das canções (excepto "Cold Sweat") já estavam compostas antes dele chegar. O tecladista Darren Wharton também inseriu influências musicais no disco, co-escrevendo muitas músicas, incluindo "Some Day She Is Going to Hit Back" e o último single do disco, "The Sun Goes Down".
