John Herbert Varley (Austin, 9 de agosto de 1947 – Beaverton, 10 de dezembro de 2025) foi um escritor estadunidense de ficção científica, vencedor do Hugo Award, Nebula Award, Seiun Award e Prometheus Award.

Varley morreu em Beaverton, Oregon, em 10 de dezembro de 2025, aos 78 anos.^[1]
