Diane Martel

Diane Martel (7 de maio de 1962 – 18 de setembro de 2025) foi uma diretora de videoclipes e coreógrafa americana. Como diretora de videoclipes, trabalhou com Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Sting e Jennifer Lopez.^[1] Um de seus videoclipes mais conhecidos foi Blurred Lines (2013) de Robin Thicke, com T.I. e Pharrell Williams.^[2]

Martel nasceu na cidade de Nova York. Seu tio era o produtor e diretor de teatro Joseph Papp. Ela começou sua carreira como artista de rua. Seus primeiros projetos baseados em filmes, no início dos anos 1990, foram documentários focados em dança, financiados pela National Endowment for the Arts, exibidos pelo Public Broadcasting Service.^[3]

Martel morreu de câncer de mama no Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center em Nova York, em 18 de setembro de 2025.^[4]
