About Me:
I am Dawson Vongphakdy, a third year Civil Engineer looking to focus in Transportation at the University of California (UC), Davis. I chose this field due to my passion for building and designing things.
Aspirations:
My goal for the future is to become a professional engineer working in the public sector. My hope is to be in a position in which I can positively affect peoples lives with my work while also making efficient systems.
Skills:
- Technical Tools: ArcGIS(Introductory), SAP2000(Introductory), AutoCAD(Intermediate)
- Software Languages: Microsoft Office Suite(Intermediate), RStudio(Introductory)
- Data Analysis: Spatial data visualization, large dataset interpretation, map creation
- Communication & Teamwork: Collaborative project experience, technical report writing
Repair experience:
I mainly do car related repairs/maintenance. I have done oil and tire changes, and replaced my brake pads as well as my sun visor

Memberships:
I am a board member of UC Davis' Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) as well as a member of UC Davis' Steel Bridge team.
Hobbies:
My favorite hobbies include anime, cars and photography. I enjoy combining these hobbies and mixing them.

What I hope to learn:
