Seth Sarmiento

Hi! My name is Seth Ochoa-Sarmiento, and I'm a 3rd year Aerospace and Science Major at the University of California, Davis.

I hope to graduate from college and get a job at NASA. I aspire to push human innovation and uncover the secrets of the universe. I pride myself on being a creative and curious person. I hope to someday be able to go to space.

In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, walking my dog, taking hikes, playing video games, and working on my car. I also enjoy learning about developments within our space programs across the US.

My group and I designed a video using MATLAB coding. We were able to make a game with a full GUI Interface and allow multiplayer on two separate devices! It was a card game. With a separate group, we were able to make a fully functioning rover in CAD (SolidWorks)!

I have done lots of repairs on cars. I have repaired brake pads, pressure hoses, the serpentine belt, radiators, fuses, control arms, etc. Besides cars, I have messed around a bit with woodworking. I am no pro, but I have made chicken coops and dog houses.

This project will benefit me by showing my repair capabilities, but also my ability to communicate and collaborate effectively. I hope to put this on my resume to benefit me professionally.
