Zachary Sinor

Hello, my name is Zachary Sinor. I am currently majoring in Computer Science at California State University Los Angeles.

My reasoning as to why I chose Computer Science to be my major is because I have always been playing video games since I was young. As I grew up with different kinds of video games, and experience of them throughout the years, I thought of going into Computer Science to help understand how to code in different languages to develop video games of my own. What I want to be, is to be a Computer Programmer and Game Developer. The hopes and dreams I plan to have is to create my own video game that is well known to be a good game with an understandable system and story.

I have done some projects with game developing, it is not really much or many projects, but I do plan to do more projects in the future. I have learned and done some games like PAC-Man, which is similar to the actual game, a 2D Platformer Game, and made a Minecraft Mod of my own multiple times, about two to three times.

This image is of one of the projects that I both learned about some parts of Java for the first time while I was learning about Python and to create a project within this topic. I recently went back to improve on the project and I'm still working on it since.

I believe throughout my life, I have not repaired anything before as I tend to be afraid of making it worse. As of now, I intend to learn and repair technological devices like gaming controllers, computers, remotes, and small fixes that I can do.

I do belong in a club at my university called “Association for Computing Machinery”, also known as ACM, where they help people who are majoring in Computer Science to improve their career with project experiences, interviews, internships, and many other sorts of help. I enjoy being a part of them because of how helpful they are.

My hobbies are bowling and video games. I sometimes do small hobbies that I stop doing once a month or more like drawing, coding random generators, and going back to old code to either improve or complicate it. I use a ton of documentation out of boredom rather than a hobby, but I would like to add it here as if it is a hobby.

Here is an image of me doing one of my hobbies which is bowling while I was in middle school. At the time of this image, I was about 1 to 3 years within a bowling league. This image was captured during an event that was held for kids to bowl and have fun and was in LA Times a day later about it.

This project relates to me because to my understanding, the SEO project is to help guide people with information needed for a device they have. I believe in video games there should be a way to help introduce people to new features or objects to help understand them. My beliefs and the way I understand the SEO project are a little similar. This project will give me benefits as I will be able to improve myself to help people from locating and giving information that is simple and understandable.
