Hello everyone! My name is Matthew Seay, but I prefer Matt.

I attend Austin Community College in Austin, Texas. I am studying Construction Management. Construction is simply a part of everyone's everyday life and it has given society the ability to grow and flourish. Making a difference in the lives of the community I grew up in gives construction more meaning than just a job.

I hope to be a superintendent with a successful construction company someday. I hope to develop the skills and experience to safely and effectively manage a construction site.

My written and verbal communication skills are growing quickly due to construction's need for constant relay of information between architects, engineers, team project members and laborers.

My critical thinking abilities combined with my field engineering experience has allowed me to solve problems by asking the right questions at the right time.

Recently I've built a number of tiny homes on trailers. It brings me joy to know that dwellings don't have to be large and expensive. Below are a couple projects I completed.

I have worked on many cars, trucks, and other vehicles which has given me a found connection to mechanical and technical systems. Most of my experience is self-taught with of course the help of YouTube.

At ACC I was awarded the Rotary Club Scholarship which helped me pay for my classes. I currently hold an OSHA 30 Hour training certification.

On my days off you will find me at the gym or swimming with my dog at the lake. Being outdoors and in nature makes me happy. Once a winter I try to make it to the mountains to snowboard.

Having a background of being a novice mechanic and carpenter I am truly excited to make my contribution to the idea of minimalism. This experience will help me develop my professional communication that is much needed in construction. I will also better learn how to consider technical physical conditions and explain them to an audience that is unfamiliar with a certain product or procedure.

I also really enjoy playing a game or basketball on the weekends. My dog's name is Zoe, and she isn't crazy about running around but she sure loves to play fetch in the water. I do love to read the Bible and spend time with believers who love the Lord Jesus.

Thanks for stopping by!!!
