ABOUT ME
My name is Khanh Le, and I am currently pursuing a computer science degree at Cal State LA. As the first member of my family to attend college as an immigrant, I feel a mix of excitement and fear. However, I believe that my mixed cultural background will encourage me to become a better version of myself.
EXPERIENCE
- Skills & Projects - I'm familiar with coding and web design. I have been working on some small projects with my friends and family. For example, I worked on the R&B Tea Rosemead website and another location that I'm currently developing.
- Repairs - Over the past couple of years, I have been able to repair some small products that I use, such as my washer, karaoke machine, and gaming device. Most of them only required a small replacement part that was broken.
- Groups & Memberships - I'm currently in a soccer club, but it's not from my school. I also plan to join a computer science program later this year.
INTERESTS & HOBBIES
- In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer and video games. In addition, I work as a photographer, mostly for personal interest, and sometimes with contacts as well.
- After taking a ceramics class in my freshman year, I have developed an interest in making them ever since. I'm not particularly talented in art, but I enjoy what I create; they represent my ideas and perspectives.
FUN FACT
- I don't own a cat, but there is a stray cat by my house that comes outside and waits for me every day. I usually come back from work at midnight, so when the cat is waiting, I sometimes feel like I might be encountering a coyote, which scares me.
- My favorite video game is FIFA. I buy the new version almost every year, even though I’m essentially playing the same game. I like it because I can play one match for about 10 minutes, take a break, and then play again later. It doesn't require me to actively play for hours like storytelling games do.
These two art pieces are my favorites. I use the octopus as a fruit holder, and the one that looks evil is actually a trumpet-like instrument. There is a tail behind it to blow air and make a sound.
