About Me
Hello, my name is Stephan Shaffer, and I am currently a college freshman majoring in Materials Science and Engineering at University of North Texas. I want to eventually work with companies to develop new materials with specialized properties. I find the chemical structure of materials and how that effects their physical properties very interesting. I’m detail oriented and good at following instruction manuals, which came in handy when I helped my parents build a greenhouse. I also have some experience with instrument repair. I played the bassoon for seven years and often had to deal with keys sticking and my reeds needing adjustments.
This is me completely disassembling my bassoon to clean and oil all of the keys.
