Hello, my name is Matthew Garcia, and I am an undergrad Political Science major at Texas Tech University.
I've always enjoyed writing and find that I'm good at it, which led me to this class and my career goals. My interest in writing also comes from my desire to become a lawyer. This desire comes from growing up in a bad environment and the lack of opportunities that most people in the community and my family faced. I aspire to be an example for those who have few options to look to around them and have no leaders who inspire them to be great.
Other than writing and my education, I enjoy playing video games. This hobby resulted in me building my own personal computer, which to this day is my only experience with handling electronic components. I also build other things, such as furniture, but I have little experience in repairs.
This project relates to me because it will be a hands-on experience with repairs and also technical writing. I don't bring previous experience into this project, but I am excited for the opportunity that it provides. I look forward to improving my technical writing, teamwork, and critical thinking skills throughout this project.
Some interesting things about me are that I'm a big family man and I love my siblings more than anything in the world. They push me to do most of the things I do, and I credit them with most of my accomplishments. I also love football and spend most of my weekends watching the games after Church.
