Sherlyn Herman

Hi, my name is Sherlyn Herman. I am a second year student at Texas Tech University. I am currently majoring in Human Sciences. I chose this major because I want to pursue a career in healthcare.

I am eager to become a Physician Associate because I have always been drawn to helping others and making them feel cared for. I want to be a part of a team that brings comfort and healing to patients, using my knowledge and compassion to make a lasting difference in their lives.

In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym and going on runs. Staying active not only helps me maintain a healthy lifestyle but also strengthens my discipline, focus, and determination qualities I aim to bring into my professional life as well. I also practice karate, which is my favorite activity. It challenges me both mentally and physically and has become one of the best parts of my routine.

I grew up in a small border town called Presidio, TX, where I learned the importance of culture, connection, and perseverance. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to communicate with a wide range of people. I also have a strong passion for sports, as they help me stay active, focused, and goal driven. One more fun fact about me is I have a big family. I am very family oriented, and love all my memories together.
