About me
Hi, my name is Darby Brandt, and I am an Undergraduate Psychology student at Texas Tech University. I’m majoring in Psychology at Texas Tech University because I’ve always been interested in understanding people — how they think, feel, and make decisions. Psychology gives me insight into human behavior that I can apply to both personal relationships and professional environments.
Aspiration
My goal is to become a family or child therapist. I want to provide a safe and supportive space for people to express themselves, work through difficulties, and strengthen their relationships. Helping children and families heal and communicate better is something I’m deeply passionate about.
Skills
I’m skilled in communication, empathy, organization, and active listening. I’m also reliable, detail-oriented, and able to stay calm and patient in stressful situations — qualities that are valuable in any counseling or professional setting.
Hobbies
I love spending time outdoors, listening to music, and staying active. I also enjoy helping others, learning new things, and spending quality time with family and friends. I also love traveling and exploring new cities.
How does this project relate to you?
This project connects to my psychology goals because it helped me strengthen my patience, attention to detail, and ability to follow structured steps — all skills that are important in therapy and professional communication.
Fun Facts
I have a twin sister! I can’t live without Chick-fil-A or iced coffee, and I love artists like Leon Bridges, Cleo Sol, and Sade. I’m also really good at remembering random facts and making playlists for every mood.
