Blake

Hi, my name is Blake and I am currently a student at Austin Community College. I've always been interested in wild animals and how the environment functions so I plan to transfer to a four-year college to pursue a Wildlife Biology degree.

I have extensive experience handling and rehabilitating wild animals. I'm also a successful educator about animals and in snowsports.

I hope to work with wild animals, whether it is as a zookeeper, wildlife rehabilitator, or researcher.

Science fair project picked to go onto the Texas Science & Engineering Fair in 2021 in high school.

I've never fixed anything all by myself. I've only been an assistant for my Father when he fixes appliances around the house. However, I have built raised garden beds with help from others.

I'd like to learn how to fix my own headphones. The hinge is broken and I'd like to repair it instead of buying a whole new one.

I'm hoping that this project will help me learn how to understand a guide. Many guides seem stupidly complicated and confusing to me. Maybe if I write one, others will be easier to understand.

In my spare time, I like to box, ride horses, watch documentaries, and hangout with my friends.

During the winter I work as a ski instructor in Park City. For the past two summers, I worked at a wildlife rehabilitation center. Last summer, I released over a hundred birds (over time, not all at once) back into the wild that I helped rehabilitate/raise. My favorite species of bird that I've released are blue birds. They're super cute and are a wonderful shade of blue.

Additionally, I have two thirteen-year-old cats, Mere Kitty and Natty.
