Hi!
I’m currently a student at Austin Community College, majoring in Cybersecurity. I chose this field because I’ve always loved puzzles and I’ve heard that Cybersecurity in a way is like a puzzle.
Outside of school, I’m a pretty outdoorsy person. I love exploring new hiking trails and finding hidden spots around where I live. Nature helps me reset and often spark creativity in how I approach things but especially helps me in times of stress. For me, nature is my form of medicine, a place where I can just wander for hours on end and clear my mind.
One of my biggest strengths is multitasking essentially I thrive when I have multiple things in front of me. I’ve also always had a knack for tech. For example, I once built a full outdoor dining set from Home Depot four rocking, spinning chairs and a glass table all by myself in just three hours. I also managed to fix a locked tablet from a pawn shop which needed a password written by the previous owner but I worked around the issue and overload it and now ever since I fixed that tablet, my family now regularly rely on me to handle things like security camera setups, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, and TV issues which in short weren’t even a big deal to fix not sure if its because of my knack for technology or my family is just simply to behind.
This project is especially interesting to me because I’ve seen videos of people dissecting electronic devices, and I’ve always wanted to learn how that works. Even though my future in cybersecurity isn’t hardware focused, I think it’s valuable and fun to understand how devices function.
My ultimate goal is to become financially stable enough that I don’t have to check my bank account before making everyday purchases (excluding big ones like a house or car, of course). I’m working hard to turn my skills and passion into a career that supports that dream.
