About Me
Hello there! My name is Connor Gregory Goul, and I'm currently working towards my bachelor's in English at California State University, Sacramento.
Aspirations
I want to see my life connected, to forge associations with other people that will allow me to better understand the nature of the world around me. Above all else, however, I want to use my burgeoning facility with communication to help others stay connected to each other.
Talents
I'm a skilled communicator, and I'm genuinely passionate about seeing things through to their optimal conclusion. While I feel confident in my ability to galvanize others to do their work, I am also more than willing to shoulder a greater burden for the purpose of creating a better end-result.
Interests in repair
In the interest of total transparency, my burning desire to expand my horizons in this field make it difficult to isolate a single category of object for repair experience. However, I am keen on learning how to repair personal computers and laptops, largely in the interest of mitigating electronic waste and the resulting consequences that engenders.
Hobbies and other interests
In my spare time, I enjoy reading high fantasy novels, as well as a smattering of horror novels by Stephen King. When the stars align, I also run Dungeons and Dragons campaigns for people in my friend group. I also derive sure satisfaction from working with animals.
How I'll benefit
Through this project, I will, of course, continue my exposure to information dissemination practices, and better be able to navigate my way around working in tandem with another to achieve an assigned goal. While I see those having great utility in my capacity as a future technical writer, I also believe that learning the ins and outs of repair will be invaluable in my personal life. Knowing how somethings works and how to make it work if it doesn't is something that fosters a desire to learn and reduces overall expenditure for repairs.
Miscellany
I'm a huge fan of dogs, particularly Golden Retrievers, but I'll take the chance to give belly rubs to anything with four legs and a tail. I have a rat terrier named Pippin, who is far better at locating rats and notifying me than he is about actually catching them. I also have an anomaly in my DNA that allows me to be exposed to more second-hand smoke than the average person without suffering deleterious effects.
