Hello World!
Hello, my name is Noah Smith, and I’m a computer science major at the University of North Texas. I’m currently working with iFixit in my technical writing class, and I’m excited to see what I can learn through the work I do here. I aspire to become a game developer and look forward to developing the problem-solving skills this class will help me strengthen.
My Hobbies:
My hobbies include game development, cars, and caving. Through these hobbies, I already have experience repairing and building projects, especially with cars and game development, and I can’t wait to see what I can contribute to my class and iFixit.
Caves:
A huge Hobbie of mine is caving. I will take any chance to go caving and I already have several trips planned in the future. I love challenging myself by pushing through any part of a cave no matter how difficult. My favorite cave is War Eagle Cavern where I got the chance to crawl an entire section in complete darkness and navigate only through touch. The photo of the cave shows the crawl space I returned though in complete darkness.
Game development:
I love game development and it is the primary reason I’m getting a computer science degree. I have spent a lot of time making multiple games with friends and participating in several small game jams. I love keeping up with other indie developers seeing the creative ideas for games they come up with and I take a lot of inspiration from their work.
Cars:
I love spending time working on cars and have learned all my knowledge on cars through my friends. I have spent hours helping friends with work on their cars both by fixing their cars and by adding new upgraded parts.
