Get to know me!
Who I am?
I am a 18 year old Freshman college student at the University of North Texas. My major is Mechanical Engineering because I've always had a passion for how things work and how they are made. Originally from Austin, I came to Denton hoping to further my education and learn lots of new things. One of my goals while using Ifixit are to learn more about broken technology, because mine always break!
My Goals
My main goal with this platform is to improve my knowledge on how to fix things and learn valuable repair skills along the way. I believe this experience will help me with my engineering career by making me a better problem solver. When a part fails, I want to be able to identify what went wrong, and how I can fix it or make it better for next time.
Experience
While I'm still new to formal electronic repairs, I don't have a ton of experience, but I do find fixing things very interesting. Back in 2020, I had a personal project of building a computer, and things would always go wrong. I had to read multiple guides on how to fix things and what wasn't working, but in the end I got it all to work. My skills of problem solving, hands-on learning, and critical thinking really helped me along the way.
My Interests and Hobbies
Outside of class, one of my hobbies I enjoy to do is playing basketball. I did this all throughout high-school and it taught me many valuable life lessons. It taught me how to work with a team, strategy, and problem-solving, which I still use all of these skills today. The picture I've attached is me playing against our rivals in high-school.
