Information about me

Hello, my name is Tyler, and I'm an 18-year-old college student attending the University of North Texas. I've lived in Texas for two years and love it here. I enjoy working with technology and learning how to fix and or rebuild it, although it's my first time. I'm here for the learning experience and to gain a new skill I can use in my day-to-day life.

Credibility and Skills

I'm a STEM student at the University of North Texas studying cybersecurity. I enjoy my technical writing class because I do hope to become more proficient with professional writing as well as working and fxining technolgy of all kinds. I am fairly new to breaking apart technology and fixing; however, I understand the importance and how valuable it is to have a skill like this, and that's why I'm so interested in working with it. It's not my first time using iFixit, and I have purchased products from the website to help fix my own technology. Something I have accomplished is fixing issues within some games on my PC, whilst also learning how to modify and configure some of the code for the games I play for a better experience.

My hobbies, experiences, and interests

I have always been interested in building things and working with stuff to create something new, and look back at my hard work. When I was younger, I loved to play with LEGO, and I had even joined a LEGO league where we combined LEGO with technology to create moving parts. Nowadays, I play a lot of video games on my PC, VR headset, and PS5. With all three of these pieces of technology, I've had to troubleshoot and or in some way fix common issues that I've had, whether it be a game I'm having to mod and or fix stick drift for my Oculus controllers, a very common issue within most gaming controllers of all varieties. Some other hobbies I have are working out and or skateboarding. I also spend a lot of my time with my friends. I have a big interest in technology, although I'm fairly inexperienced with it, I do still enjoy it, and I'm always having to help my parents with issues they are having, or teaching them something new. This project will teach me the basics and advanced things on how to work with certain pieces of technology and how to repair them.
