My name is Austin Rager.
I am a junior currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in software engineering at Utah Tech University in Saint George, Utah. I have had a love for computers ever since I was thirteen years old. First, I fell in love with learning about hardware components such as the CPU, RAM, GPU and storage components. I built my first PC when I was fifteen and have continued upgrading components and fixing them too.
Eventually I was presented with two internships working for the local school district doing I.T, and for a computer repair shop fixing PCs, laptops, and phones. I learned a lot from these opportunities.
Once it was time for me to attend a university, I chose to major in software engineering because I was curious about how to program and to continue growing my love for computers. I learned the fundamentals of programming and learned languages such as: Python, C, C++, JavaScript, RISC-V Assembly and many JavaScript frameworks
Outside of the academic world, I am a skateboarder and have been doing it for over 20 years now. Rock climbing is another hobby that I have recently picked up. I have lots to learn about rock climbing, but that does not take away the fun of it.
