Newton Holmes

My name is Newton Holmes, I'm a student with a dream and passion of becoming an electrical engineer with aspects of mechanical engineering. I am currently enrolled in the University of North Texas at Denton.

Over my academic journey, I was able to gain skills and participate in activities that furthered my expertise in the field of engineering. This took place in my high school career, at Dubiski Career High School, I have competed in competitions like SkillsUSA in the engineering field. And I've also acquired many certificates like from CareerSafe and Solidworks.

Since I was little, I had plenty of legos to build with because of him, making a robot out of those sun powered can robots. While also playing with lego's and the solar robotics kits, watching sci-fi movies like Transformers, Terminator, Pacific Rim, and much more fueled my interest in machines further.

 My biggest aspiration has always been to become an electrical engineer. This came to be through my biggest source of inspiration which has been my father. Growing up he would have me help him around the house, like the washing machine, the dryer, dishwasher, ect. I was taut many valuable repair skills from these experiences.
