Hello, my name is Anelyz Martinez, and I am majoring in Hospitality Management at the University of North Texas.

I have a strong passion for Hospitality Management because I enjoy creating welcoming experiences that bring people together especially through food. My ultimate goal is to own my own restaurant where I can combine my leadership skills with my love for service to build a space that feels like home to every guest.

I served as Vice President of Community Service for FCCLA, where I helped lead projects that made a positive impact in my community. I also won a regional FCCLA competition in job interviews, which strengthened my leadership and professional skills.

A fun fact about me is that I once dissected an owl pellet and was able to identify the tiny bones of animals like mice and moles inside. It was fascinating to see how nature works and match each bone to a chart to figure out which animal it belonged to, almost like solving a case/mystery.

I hope to learn hands-on problem-solving skills and gain more confidence in repairing and troubleshooting different types of devices. I also want to build knowledge that will help me better understand how things work and apply it to real-world situations.
