My name is Gustavo Cornier, and I am currently a student at the University of North Texas (UNT), majoring in Electrical Engineering. I was born on November 13, 2006, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and later moved to Texas, where I graduated from Burleson High School in south Fort Worth. Ever since I was young, I’ve been fascinated by how things work—whether it’s a simple household appliance or a complex electronic system—which naturally led me toward engineering.

Interests

One of my favorite hobbies is building LEGO Technic cars. I currently have a collection of 12 cars, each one representing hours of creativity and problem-solving. I find the process entertaining and mentally stimulating because it challenges me to think critically about structure and mechanics.

I also have a strong passion for hands-on work. I enjoy using tools, building projects, and fixing things—whether it’s assembling furniture, repairing a broken item, or taking something apart just to understand how it functions. This curiosity and love for tinkering are what inspired me to join iFixit, where I can apply my skills to real-world repairs and learn even more about how devices operate.

Overall, I’m a detail-oriented and curious person who enjoys learning by doing. My goal is to keep developing my technical and problem-solving skills so that I can contribute to innovative engineering solutions in the future.
