Hello! My name is Vince and I'm a Sophomore majoring in Cybersecurity at the University of North Texas.

As a kid I was always quick to learn technical knowledge, learning which plugs and ports went where and overtime I also learned a lot about how to solve technical issues dealing with Apple products. A few summers ago when getting a new phone, I was able to offer better advice to my Dad about iPhone transferring and data than AT&T employees, which may have pushed me in the direction for me to choose my major. I've always enjoyed learning about technology especially forgotten technology, and I've always been fascinated with what makes it all operate. With technology becoming such a major part of the future, I choose my major as an investment to learn more, and be apart of it.

Accomplishments

While still discovering what my degree will do for me, I have spent a lot of my free time working at a movie theater, where I have remained for nearly a year and a half. In terms of accomplishments, I felt very proud to receive Employee of the Month at the soonest time eligible (3 months), which is something unheard of in my workplace. In High School, I also pursued a lot of Advancement Placement courses which allowed me to avoid those courses following getting prior credit for them. In high school I also spent after hours in culture clubs like Asian American Club and International Club to learn about other cultures and try new foods, in order to better understand and learn about those surrounding me.

Personal Life

As a living and breathing nineteen year old, I'm still discovering where my place is and where it should be in the future. In my personal life, I've also spent a lot of time trying to discover new interests, dabbling in photography, music and media production. This summer, I've dedicated a lot of time to work ahead and work hard in order to put myself on the perfect path for earning my degree as soon as I possibly can.

Last semester I also spent a lot of time on the website Flickr, a photo database that has held pictures of all kinds for over 20 years. With all kinds of profiles of high schooler's and grandparents to professional photographers, the large summary of pictures has captured random flashes of history from all over the world, for the best of two decades. After my high school graduation, I spent more time taking professional pictures casually. Here's a photo I took of a squirrel on campus last semester that I really enjoy.
