Hi! My name is Sophia. I’m an accounting major at Texas A&M. I love a lot of things about accounting, and find the puzzle-aspect of it very interesting. Other than accounting, I’m a big craft person, and love any excuse to take something old and recreate it.
I’ve spent the majority of my life cycling through different creative pursuits, from jewelry making to chain mail, crocheting, spinning my own yarn from wool, tailoring thrifted clothes, and so on.
My main experience with repairing things would be finding and revamping things I’ve found while thrifting. I’ve done this with an old spice rack, a tea table, a chair in need of reupholstering, and tons and tons of clothing.
Here’s a quick example of one of my favorite projects! When I found the chair, it looked old, stained, and basically unusable. With a nail gun, some fabric, and a lot of hoping and dreaming, I made it into a piece I love that I can use everyday.
