Hello! I'm Lindsey, a Computer Science major specializing in Software Engineering at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. My dream is to design websites professionally, combining my love for art and creativity with my technical skills.
Throughout my studies, I've gained experience in various coding languages, including Javascript, HTML, HTML5, CSS, Python, Java, SQL, and PHP. I've applied these skills to create innovative and practical programs, like a Random Music Generator that introduces users to new songs and an online booking tool for a makeup artist at a popular beauty store.
I'm looking forward to putting my tech-savvy skills to the test with IFIXIT. Technology is at the heart of our everyday lives, so repairs are needed often. As the designated "tech support" in my household, this wonderful task often falls to me.
I also enjoy modifying and fixing keyboards in my free-time. The sound of a keyboard is soothing to me, so I started looking into what makes different keyboards sound the way they do. This led to modifying my own custom keyboard, and I hope to build one from scratch one day.
On a more personal note, here are some fun facts about me:
- I have a Pomeranian named Chicken Parmesan, two leopard geckoes named Javabean and Chai, and a hamster named Dumpling.
- My favorite food has been sushi since I was 2 years old.
