Why I Chose This Major: I chose Technical Writing as I enjoy writing concise documents and find the field interesting.

Aspirations

I aspire to gradate with a Bachelors in TCID so that I may work remotely, which would allow more time for travelling and spending time with my cats and partner.

Skills

  • Proficient in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and comparable platforms.
  • Experience with Canva and Digitial Art making platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.

Projects and Accomplishments

  • Authored VESA's DPAM VIF Generator Manual. Led revision and feedback processes for manual revisions and collaborated with cross-functional teams to gather technical specifications, validate accuracy, and align documentation with industry standards.
  • Performed interoperability testing and documented results in a database to support product improvements and compatibility checks.

Repair Experience

  • No notable repair experience other than a few household repairs and fixing my PC through hardware replacement.

Accolades

  • Dean's List Honoree (Fall 2024: UCCS).
  • Selected for the National Honor Society (2021-2024).

How This Project Relates to Me

My Professor has selected our class to participate in the iFixit project, and I believe it will significantly benefit my educational journey and professional development through technical documentation and manual revision. Since the iFixit project is primarily done remotely, it will also help prepare me for future remote positions, and have a positive impact on my communication skills in a virtual enviornment.

Fun Facts

  • 🐱I have two cats, Blizzard (4 years), and Fig (1 year). We often take them hiking and aim to include them on our paddleboarding journeys this year.
  • 🔖I am in the process of writing my own creative literature, as well as drawing the cover, and additional artwork needed for my book.
  • 🧶Due to my creative hobbies, I'm currently attempting to fill the spaces in my home with paintings, crochet plushies, and useful crocheted items (coasters, bags, etc). It's been fun, but I need to look into more storage space for all this yarn and paint...
