Hello! My name is Annie Ding and I'm at a 3rd year Economics and Design major with a minor in Accounting.
I chose this major because I wanted a strong foundation in business and finance but as I progressed I realized I was more interested in creative roles like product design.
My aspirations are to work in the creative industry where I can blend my analytical skills with my passion for gaming, design, and story telling.
For skills, I have experience in Figma and developing user-centered solutions and I interned at KPMG this past summer which gave me strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
For projects I am proud of, I started a club in freshman year called Voithos which aimed to help students who are struggling in food insecurity get meals from local businesses who would otherwise produce more food waste. This won the Deloitte Food Security Award of 2023.
For memberships, I am currently the President of the Economics and Business Student Association (EBSA) where we aim to helps students understand what industries of business they're passionate about. For hobbies, I love reading, photography, digital art, and badminton on my free time.

This was when I judged a case competition for EBSA where the prompt was in Mergers & Acquisitions. Overall, I'm super excited to bring all my professional experience into creating iFixit guides as I'm really interested in helping individuals further explore and find ways of repairing things beyond their useful life.
In terms of experience, I fixed laptops and consoles before in the past by replacing the battery or increasing storage for SD cards. I hope to bring that to this project of fixing a gadget as well.
Here is an image when I was fixing my car and ignition problem. After a crash, every time I turned off the car, my headlights would remain on after a time and keep draining my car's battery. Overall, I found out it was because during the crash, one of the wires internally had been damaged, so we had to replace that. In addition, the metal electric holder of the battery had been heavily burned and molded which is why the connectivity was bad.
