Hello, my name is Griselda. I am an undergraduate at California State University of Los Angeles, majoring in civil engineering. The reason I chose this major is because I enjoy problem-solving. I aspire to work in an engineering department as a start and then build my own business. A skill that I have is being a visual learner; with this, I am able to take over a task on my own by just seeing how to do it once or twice. A project I took over was creating and designing the centerpieces for my sister's wedding, and I am very proud of it because it fit her theme and wanted. I do not have much experience repairing, but I would like to learn how to fix phone screens. That way, I would save myself some money. An award I have won was a first-place trophy for a cheer/dance competition as a duo. I have been volunteering at a church for two years. I help the teacher and students in a catechism class. Some hobbies I have and do in my spare time are arts and crafts, creating custom water bottles, and custom stickers. This project can benefit me and my future career because I get to work within a group and learn from one another. That way, we learn from each other's mistakes and find new ways to solve a problem. Also, this will give me practice to have patience when it comes to a problem that requires a higher level of patience and skills. Fun fact I have a house cat, her name is Alexandra but for short we call her Alex. My favorite food is burgers and favorite color is purple (lavender).
