Maria Katrina Manalo

My name is Maria Katrina Manalo. I am currently a junior at the University of North Texas pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising with minors Content Strategy and Psychology. I had long debated between various degree paths, but ultimately committed to this major due to its flexibility in the different avenues I wish to explore after completion of undergraduate education.

For three years, I served as an officer for UNT's Filipino Student Association, which has taught me a great deal about effective teamwork and professionalism-- especially during my term as President. Working with my fellow classmates and iFixit allows me to continue exercising the skills that I have gained, while fostering new ones.

In a perfect world, I would love to have a career that allows me to be recognized and compensated for my creativity. I have many hobbies and interests, so it will certainly be challenging to focus on a specific field. However, I have the most passion for fashion design, and performing, especially dancing.
