Hannah Myrick

Hello! My name is Hannah Myrick, and I am currently pursuing a Master's in technical and scientific fields from the same university, and expect to graduate in May of 2026.

My career goals are to work for a company and be hired to write. I do not necessarily care what writing I am doing, but I would definitely prefer manual or proposal writing. My end goal would be to write for a huge organization, such as Blue Origin or Dell. I have always enjoyed writing and have just recently gained a passion for the STEM field. I want to be able to take my passion for writing and apply it to the science and technology world. I also recently completed the NASA L'SPACE NPWEE Program, where I learned the ins and outs of proposal writing and management.

I am also a bartender, and this has taught me very good communication skills that would be helpful in any future career. I do have some repair experience through prior projects with iFixit. I have completed the SEO Writing Project as well as the Technical Editing Project. Both of these projects prepared me for the job that I just accepted, where I will be crafting manuals and processes for a new company.

This is a very blurry picture, but that sums up our group. We are all over the place. This was a party that we threw, which we called Denim and Dogs. Music and food are the two things that can always bring us together. We are all different and have very diverse backgrounds and views, but it works. My friends push me to be a better person every day, and I could not ask for better ones!

This first picture is my family's Christmas picture from last year, and as you can tell, we are a crazy bunch. We take the same photo every year, and it is amazing to see the differences in each one. We are a pretty close-knit family and spend every holiday and a lot of days in between together. I owe much of my success to my family and am so thankful for the life that they have given me.

The second image is of me and my boyfriend, Tyler. He is an ROTC instructor and is currently active in the United States Army. I am super proud to call him my boyfriend. He is the best!

Along with reading and writing, I spend most of my time playing with my two dogs, Honey and Navy. Honey is a three-year-old Golden Retriever, and Navy is an eight-month-old Golden Aussie. They are crazy, but they make my life so full of love and energy. I do not know what I would do without them!

When I am not with friends and family, I am either at the gym, working, or reading a good book. My favorite TV shows are Game of Thrones and Peaky Blinders. I highly recommend them if you like drama and danger:) Of course, I spend tons of time walking my dogs. They love to swim, so when it warms up, I spend many days at the creek.

With this project, I hope to hone my technical writing and editing skills. With these projects so far, I have seen a huge improvement, and I believe this one will be no different. I hope to be a special and unique part of a company that values me for my work. I want to make a difference somewhere, even if it is a small part of a company. I think that this project will be another building block to success.
