The guide instructs you to replace the spring clip or (also known as the arm clip) at the arm attachment on the Yuneec Typhoon H.

The spring clips usually get broken during a crash.

    • Using a JIS #00 screwdriver, unscrew the 3mm oval screw.

    • The oval screw is hard to remove once fully unscrewed, to remove the screw flip the drone upside down to have the screw fall out.

The screws are too small to put back in. There isn’t enough contact between the head and the tip of any screwdriver. Magnetic or not, the tip slips out of the head, then the screw falls and disappears. I’ve worked for days, got one of three screws in by putting gorilla glue on the tip. The threads don’t engage back into the hole the screw came out of. 3 days wasted on these tiny screws.

My screws are Phillips head, not oval. I’ve had several disappear and have to get more. The whole screw is about the size of a grain of sand

    • For this step the arm must be bent.

    • Remove the broken arm clip by pinching the metal top and then pull it out with an upward force.

    • The Blunt Nose Tweezers may be helpful in removing the arm clip.

How did you get the broken piece out from under the screw?

    Richard Fuller -

Take the screw out first, then the broken clip slides straight out.

Good luck getting the screw back in.
