    • Pull on the watch strap through the top of the strap buckle to unlock the strap.

    • Once the strap has been unlocked, hold onto the strap buckle and pull away from the watch to completely remove the band.

    • Use the PH00 screwdriver to remove the four screws from each corner of the rear metal cover.

    These watches now have two triangle bits (TA) on them (I believe TimeX claims that this is to stay in compliance with the Reese Law).

    iFixit doesn't have a triangle bit that is small enough. I From what I can tell, most of them have the TA12 (1.2 mm) or the TA14 (1.4 mm) triangle heads.

    • Gently remove the back plate to expose the battery.

    • The battery spring will propel the battery upward as soon as the base cover is removed. Be sure to place the battery in a safe spot.
