    • Locate crease in bottom third of razor.

    • Hold razor in both hands, and place thumbs near crease.

    • Slightly bend the razor near crease.

    • Pull casing apart.

    • Device may turn on upon removal. Turn off razor before continuing.

The case won't pull off like you describe…am i missing something?

No the thing is literally hello together by something that defies the laws of physics. I have two that stopped charging at exactly the same time. New charges did not help so I tried pulling them apart like drained above and ended up breaking the stupid thing. I refuse to try again work the 2nd

I tore it down so for the future this is what you do: yank on it as hard as possible and see what comes out. Use paper towels for increased grip. Then you either have the whole assembly in your hand or just the cover. If its just the cover: bad news. Now you can file some crisscross grooves into that black piece sticking out because theres quite the yank waiting for you. Yank hard on it, try twisting and bending it. After you got that out (if you havent dislocated your shoulder yet) you get to the interesting part. Check battery voltage from the big solder blob in the middle of the board (+) and get the minus from the charging minus running down your battery assembly. If that voltage is roughly 1.2v then maybe its the motor or the board. If its way below 1.2V its the battery. Good luck disassembling it tho the battery is sticky taped in there and you have to desolder some stuff before you can even part the motor and the board from the battery to access it.

    • Locate wires below motor on either side of circuit board.

    • Remove solder from each joint using solder removal kit.

    • Do not attempt to remove wires by force.

    • Remove new motor from package and place in position.

    • Motor should sit above circuit board with connection prongs facing downward. Additionally, center extrusion on bottom of motor should sit in provided hole.

does removing the motor exposing the battery? In my unit I see some green thing underneath the motor, looks like a AA battery, can you confirm?

or is it from somewhere else? (I need to replace my battery)

I just dismantled my shaver, and it has a 1.2v AA size NiMH battery (suppo hsy aa1200).

I’m also curious about the battery. Any one have pictures of it or know what kind of battery it has inside?

Thanks! This definitely helps.

I see that too, but how did you get the battery out? I haven’t unsoldered the motor yet, but I don’t see how that would help get it out…

What was the reason for replacing the engine?

What are the brushes installed in the engine?

I just torn apart mine to replace the battery. I was expecting a 18650 but it is just your standard 1.2v rechargeable battery. I replaced it with a lithium ion battery and everything is good as new. They did make it a bit more difficult by adding a lot of double sided tape to the battery. Next time I might try modding it with a 18650. We’ll see…

I am having great difficulty in pulling apart the casing. Is there any recommendation or tips in how to do it? I have tried following the manual and here.

A single 1.2 volt cell....

Well what the hell does the %#*@ thing need 8 volts to charge for

Money grab, that's what.

What model of servo motor do you recommend buying? I can't seem to find an exact replacement for the model number on the existing motor.
