NIU KQi3 Pro Electric Scooter Front Tire Replacement

Lay the scooter on its side or put the kickstand down to stop the scooter from moving.

Locate the light reflector sticker on the right side of the front tire.

Blow hot air on the sticker using a hair dryer until it begins to melt. This protects the glue and allows an easier removal.

Pull off the light reflector sticker from the right side of the tire using an opening tool.

Repeat for the left side of the tire.

Remove the screw on the side of the tire using a 3 mm hex key.

Repeat on the other side of the tire.

Remove the plastic casing that covers the bolt.

Repeat on the other side of the tire.

Remove the bolt using a 15 mm socket wrench.

Repeat on the other side of the tire.

Remove the wheel from the scooter.

Clamp the tire tightly so it is pulled away from the metal rim.

Push the tire away from the metal rim using two strong, flathead screwdrivers.

Remove the tire from the rim.

Grab your new 9.5 x 2.50 vacuum tire.

Squeeze the tire to be as small as possible and zip-tie it in place. Refer to the second image. This will allow it to fit back on the metal rim.

Wipe soapy water around the tire so it will slip on the metal rim easier.

Slip the tire onto the metal rim.

Cut off the zip-ties using scissors.

Turn on the air compressor and wait a few minutes for it to build pressure.

Inflate the tire until it fits back on the metal rim.

Here is the replacement tire completely inflated

Put the tire back on the scooter.

Place the bolt from Step 5 back on the scooter and tighten it with a 15 mm socket wrench.

Repeat on the other side of the scooter.

Replace the plastic casing from Step 4 so it covers the bolt.

Repeat on the other side of the tire.

Replace and tighten the screw from Step 3 using a 3 mm hex key.

Repeat on the other side of the tire.

Reheat the glue on the light reflector sticker using a hair dryer.

Place the sticker back on the side of the tire, covering the screw.

Repeat on the other side of the tire.
