The battery in the Marshall Emberton is responsible for giving power to the speaker and allowing it to turn on. With the help of this guide you will be able to locate the battery and changing the battery.

With an exhausted or degraded battery, battery life decreases significantly and repeated charging is required. Although the battery is located deep inside the speaker, it is very easy to replace.

    • Remove the rubber casing from the speaker using your nails to peel the cover off.

    I don’t have a rubber top! It’s all plastic. What to do?

    • Pry out both covers that are on the front and backside of the speaker to reveal the screws to get inside the speaker.

    Rather sloppy how-to, wrong circles on screws by the battery (wrong side) , wrong position and count on the speakers plate, no pics of the screws once out but the essentials are here.
    I actually took it apart before finding this guide, it's fairly easy, just needed some pics to refresh my memory once the battery showed up.

    • Use a TR9 screwdriver to remove the eight 1.2 cm screws.

    • Use a spudger or opening tool to pry out the speakers.

    • Use a TR9 screwdriver to remove the six 1 cm screws that secure the motherboard.

    • Disconnect the three wire connectors marked, by firmly tugging on the wire.

    • Use TR9 screwdriver to remove the final two 1.2 cm screws that secure the battery.
