You will need:
- 9V 6F22 Piscell battery

Use a ladder to reach the smoke alarm.

Twist the alarm clockwise to unhook the smoke alarm from the ceiling.

Push down on the clips on each side of the wire to detach the alarm from the wire harness.

When the clips are pushed down, pull down to detach the wire.

Push the white button on the inside of the alarm to open the battery compartment.

Remove the battery from the compartment.

Replace with a new battery.

When aligned, turn the alarm counterclockwise to lock it in place.

Confirm that the alarm won't fall off, and now you have completed the steps to replace a smoke alarm battery!

When you have completed these steps, you will be able to replace future smoke alarm batteries on the whim!
