Introdução

It's easy to test an infrared (IR) remote control using a mobile phone's camera (most phone cameras are sensitive to IR). This helps when debugging a gadget problem.

    • Place the remote control facing the camera lens Turn the camera on, and check that you can see the remote control's front face.

    • Press buttons on the remote control.

    • If you can see a light in the camera screen then the remote is functioning!

    • Note: this doesn't test that the data sent by the remote is correct.

What might be the problem if it is always blinking, but it stops when I press any of the buttons?

Coby TV-DVD 1350 remote that was bought second hand, if that helps.

Faulty electronics or push-button switches. You could try squirting in some contact cleaner
