Introdução

This guide will walk you through the process for replacing the auger drive belt on many EGO 56V single-stage snow throwers.

    • Make sure that the unit won't start.

    • The access panel is on the left-hand side of the unit when viewed from behind. There are 8 Torx T20 bolts that hold the panel to the main housing. Remove all bolts and put aside in a secure place.

    • Use a flat-bladed screwdriver to push the spring off of the metal holder in the housing. Optionally clamp the locking needle-nose pliers to the spring below the screwdriver, as shown, which will add mass to the spring and prevent it from springing off of the unit.

    • When the spring is removed, tension is removed from the drive belt, making it possible to remove the belt.

    • If the belt is still wound around the pulleys (not snapped), use a flat-bladed screwdriver to pry the belt off of the large white pulley.

    • Place the new belt around the large and small pulleys. The belt should have just enough slack to be easily wound over the pulleys.

    • Place one end of the spring on the hook on the drive belt tensioner. Use a flat-bladed screwdriver and pliers to stretch the spring so that it connects with the metal hook on the snowblower housing.

    • Rotate the large pulley to ensure that the drive belt is properly seated around both pulleys.

    • Replace the metal cover and re-attach the 8 Torx bolts.
