Introdução

Use this guide to enter Samsung’s hidden Smart Install diagnostic mode on the WF45R6100, WF45R6200, and WF45R6300 washing machines. Smart Install lets you run an automatic self-check, manually step through built-in test modes, and view stored error codes so you can narrow down what’s wrong before replacing parts or calling for service.

Ferramentas

    • Make sure the washing machine is plugged in.

    • Press the power button to turn the washer on.

    • Use the dial to select any wash mode.

    • Press the Delay End button, or the button that lets you delay the washer from starting.

    • Press or press-and-hold the button until the delay time shows 17 H.

    • Press and hold Start/Pause for 7 seconds.

    • Keep holding Start/Pause even if the washer starts running.

    • Release the button when the cycle ends and AS appears on the display.

    • With AS showing, press Start to begin the automatic check.

    • Let the washer run through the numbered sequence of tests shown on the display.

    • Check the result after all 10 modes run.

    • OK or OT means the checks came back properly.

    • NG means a check failed, and an error code should populate for the error code mode.

    • Press the power button to turn the washer off to exit Smart Install.

    • Repeat the Smart Install entry button sequence if you want to return to AS.

    • With AS showing, press the Delay End button to start manual test mode.

    • Wait for the door to lock and the display to show 1.

    • Press the Delay End button to cycle forward through the numbered modes.

    • Watch mode 8 for the drum spin test, and read RPM on the display in multiples of 10.

    • Expect a maximum reading around 120 when the washer reaches maximum spin speed.

    • Make sure the washer drained all water in mode 7 before the unit spins in mode 8.

    • After mode 10, the door unlocks and the washer returns to the AS screen.

    • With AS showing, press the first button on the right at the bottom of the control panel.

    • Use the Alarm Off button if that is the bottom-right button on the washer.

    • Confirm that CR appears on the display.

    • Turn the jog dial to scroll through stored error codes.

    • The list only scrolls forward, so keep turning the dial until it returns to CR to restart the list.

    • If there are no stored errors, the display shows three horizontal lines each time you turn the dial.

    • Press the power button to turn the washer off when you’re done viewing codes.

    • Turn the washer back on to return to normal operation.

    • The washer may store codes even when powered down, and this video doesn’t show a way to erase them.

    • The video lists these codes and their meanings: 1C, 3C, 4C, 4C2, 5C, 91C/9C2, AC/CA3/AC4/AC5/AC6, BC2, DC/DC1, HC/HC1, LC, OC, TC1, UB, SUD, 8C/8C1/8C2, and SF.

Conclusão

If Smart Install’s automatic check shows NG or the CR menu shows a stored code, write the code down before powering the washer off.
