Introdução
Use factory calibration mode to reset a newer Whirlpool (or Maytag) top-load washing machine when it isn’t working right, is bouncing excessively, or after replacing a part. This process recalibrates the washer so the parts work together properly.

Make sure the washer is in standby with no lights lit on the control panel.

Remove all clothes, and make sure the tub has no water in it and is fully drained.

Make sure the washer has electrical power.

Make sure both hot and cold water supply hoses are connected and have a good clean water supply.

Press key 1, press key 2, press key 1, and press key 2.

Wait for the lid to lock and for all the control panel lights to turn on.

Rotate the dial clockwise once.

Press keys 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 in order.

Watch for the lights to turn off as you press each key in order.

Wait while the washer makes noises and the LED panel blinks a few times.

Wait for the lid lock light to flash and for the lid to unlock.

Open the lid, and then close it after the washer unlocks.

Watch for the lid to re-lock and for the lights to run and blink in order.

Let the washer run the calibration cycle once the lights start running and blinking in order.

Listen for the shifter to run and for water to start as the calibration sequence begins.

Wait about four minutes for calibration to complete.

Confirm calibration is done when the lights flash off.

Go to the rear of the washer and remove the screw that holds the wire plate cover.

Use a T20 Torx driver or a 1/4 inch driver to remove the five screws on the plate.

Move the plate away from the washer to expose the control area behind it.

If the washer accepts the sequences, the lid locks, the lights cycle, and the calibration runs for about four minutes before the lights flash off. If the washer won’t enter recalibration, use the rear access check to confirm whether the control board’s green status LED is flashing.
