Follow this guide to open your Logitech Signature M650 wireless mouse.

Opening your mouse gives you access to clean its internals, troubleshoot mechanical problems, or replace a part.

    • Before starting, flip the power switch on the bottom of your mouse to the left, so it's in the OFF position.

    • Press down on the battery cover with your thumb and slide it away from the mouse to unclip it.

    • Remove the battery cover.

    • Use your fingers to lift the end of the battery and slide it out of its recess.

    • During reassembly, slide the battery in negative (-) end first, as shown on the sticker in the recess.

    • Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two 5.5 mm‑long screws securing the two halves of the mouse together.

    • The two halves of the mouse are secured by two clips near the front.

    • Hold the top half of the mouse and pull the bottom half away and down to separate it.

    • Don't try to fully separate the two halves yet—a cable still connects them.

    • Reposition the top half of the mouse so you can access its connector near the back.

    • Use a pair of angled tweezers to firmly grip the base of the connector, just below its notches.

    • Hold your tweezers closer to the tips to get a better grip.

    • Gently rock the connector side‑to‑side and pull straight up to disconnect it.
