Introdução

Follow this guide to open your Logitech M240 wireless mouse.

Opening your mouse gives you access to clean its internals, troubleshoot mechanical problems, or replace a part.

    • Before starting, flip the power switch on the bottom of your mouse to the left, so it's in the OFF position.

    • Press down on the battery cover with your thumb and slide it away from the mouse to unclip it.

    • Remove the battery cover.

    • Use your fingers to lift the end of the battery and slide it out of its recess.

    • During reassembly, slide the battery in negative (-) end first, as shown in the recess.

    • The sticker in the battery recess hides a screw. If you don't mind damaging the sticker, you can skip this step and pierce through it with your screwdriver.

    • Use a pair of tweezers to slowly peel up and remove the sticker from the battery recess.

    • If you're having trouble, heat the sticker with an iOpener or hair dryer to make it easier to remove.

    • Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the 5.5 mm‑long screw from the battery recess.

    • The two halves of the mouse are secured by two clips near the front.

    • Hold the bottom half of the mouse steady and pull the top half away and down to separate it.
