Follow this guide to open your Logitech K295 wireless keyboard.

Opening your keyboard gives you access to clean its internals, troubleshoot mechanical problems, or replace a part.

    • Slide the power switch to the OFF position.

    • Flip your keyboard over and lay it down so the edge with the two tilt legs is closest to you.

    • If your work surface might scratch the keyboard, place a soft towel under it.

    • Pull the battery cover's center tab in and up to remove the cover.

    • Use your finger to lift the edge of the first battery and remove it.

    • Slide the second battery out of its recess and remove it.

    • During reassembly, slide the AAA batteries in negative (-) end first, as shown in the recess.

    • Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the fifteen 8.8 mm‑long screws securing the keyboard together.

    • Flip your keyboard over so the keys are facing up.

    • Insert the long edge of an opening pick in the seam between the two halves of the keyboard, by the bottom of the left edge.

    • Pry up the top half of the keyboard to release the clip.

    • You should feel and hear a "click" as the clip releases.

    • Leave the pick inserted for the next step.

    • With the pick angled flat to the keyboard, slide it along the left edge to release the clips securing the two halves.

    • You should feel and hear "clicks" as the pick slides along each section. If you don't, the clips didn't release—slide the pick along the section again and pry gently.

    • Continue sliding the pick along the top and right edges until all the clips are released.

    • Don't try to fully separate the two halves yet—you risk damaging the plastic membrane connected to the top half.

    • Gently hold the two halves of the keyboard together and flip it over so the bottom is facing up.
